Marwille (Mau) Vardeleon

Marwille (Mau) Vardeleon is a high school Biology teacher and currently taking her Masters Degree in Biology. Immersing herself in arts has always been a "break" from the real world but during the pandemic, she was faced with a lot of uncertainties. Painting allows her to give herself some space to experiment. It also helped her slow down, redirect her emotions, and brought her a sense of freedom and solace especially during these challenging times.

Mau uses acrylics and mixed media in her artworks. As a "scientist x artist," she would like to eventually use art to help increase understanding how the different roles of species/ecosystems play in our lives, raise environmental awareness, and build a culture that is more environmentally sustainable.
